Music carries a tribute. It is also the one part of the process with rules attached, so we would rather explain it plainly now than surprise you later.
Why we deliver without the track
Commercial recordings are protected by copyright, and we are not licensed to distribute them. Your finished tribute is therefore supplied without a commercial song attached — which also keeps it safe to share online without being muted or taken down.
How it works on the day
This is simpler than it sounds, and it is how most services already run. We edit your tribute to the exact length and timing of your chosen song, then whoever is playing it — the crematorium, church or venue — cues the music alongside the film. Venues do this routinely and hold the licences for it.
Music included in your film
If you would rather the film carried its own soundtrack, we keep a library of licensed, tasteful pieces and will gladly suggest something that suits the tone — included at no extra cost. And if you would like your own chosen recording on a private copy for the family, please ask and we will talk it through with you.
